ACT Tax Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead client relationships and deliver high-quality taxation and business advisory services from our South Coast office. This is a full-time position based in Moruya/Dalmeny, focused on managing a portfolio of clients while supporting the growth and development of the local team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of business and individual clients across a range of industries
- Review and oversee the preparation of Australian tax returns and compliance work (ITR, CTR, TTR, SMSF, FBT, BAS, IAS, etc.)
- Provide proactive tax planning, business advisory, and strategic guidance to clients
- Lead client meetings and act as the primary point of contact for key relationships
- Support workflow management, quality control, and team performance
- Mentor and develop accountants and junior team members
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client outcomes and business growth
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Australian public practice
- Strong technical taxation knowledge, including CGT, Division 7A, FBT, SBE concessions, and tax planning strategies
- Proven experience managing client relationships and providing business advisory services
- CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Xero and related accounting software
- Proactive, client-focused approach with strong commercial awareness
